Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Tateway Enterprises, LLC ("Tateway," "we," "us," or "our") handles information through GrantWhisperer, a BitCraft-developed Tateway platform. It applies to the GrantWhisperer website, account experience, applicant intake, and readiness assessments.

Information we collect

Account and authentication information

GrantWhisperer uses Clerk to manage accounts and authentication. We receive the verified email address, authentication-provider identifier, and session information needed to create and secure your account. If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Clerk may also process basic profile information associated with your Google account. GrantWhisperer does not receive your Google password.

Applicant and funding information

We collect information you submit about an applicant, organization, business, nonprofit, project, or individual. This may include legal identity and formation details, operating stage, ownership characteristics, location and service area, mission and industry, financial ranges, organizational capacity, funding amount and purpose, project details, populations or customers served, and the availability of planning or supporting materials.

Readiness and integrity records

We store questionnaire answers, calculated readiness results, criterion explanations, evidence status, assessment history, identity-consistency acknowledgments, and related audit records. These records make results explainable and allow you to resume your work.

Technical information

Our service providers may process IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, cookies, request logs, and security events when operating the service. Clerk uses essential cookies and similar technologies to maintain authentication and prevent abuse.

How we use information

• Authenticate users and keep applicant records scoped to the correct account.
• Save, retrieve, and update applicant profiles and funding needs.
• Calculate and explain deterministic grant-readiness assessments.
• Maintain assessment history, data integrity, security, and auditability.
• Respond to support requests and improve the reliability of the service.
• Comply with applicable law and protect users, Tateway, and the public.

Google user data

Google sign-in is optional. When you use it, GrantWhisperer requests only the basic identity scopes needed for authentication: OpenID, email address, and profile. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, payment information, or other Google services. We do not use Google user data for advertising or to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell Google user data.

How information is shared

We share information only as needed to operate, secure, or lawfully support the service:

• Clerk provides authentication, account, and session services.
• Google provides optional Google sign-in when you select it.
• Vercel hosts and delivers the GrantWhisperer application.
• Neon and PostgreSQL service infrastructure store application records.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties may receive information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and service security.

We do not sell applicant or account information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Storage, retention, and security

GrantWhisperer stores application records in the United States or other locations used by our service providers. We retain information while your account and applicant records remain active and as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Backups and security logs may remain for a limited period after deletion.

We use account-scoped authorization, managed authentication, access controls, and other reasonable safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and avoid submitting information that the requested workflow does not require.

Your choices and requests

You may review and correct applicant information through the application. You may sign out, stop using Google sign-in, or revoke GrantWhisperer access through your Google Account. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and application records, contact support@tatewayai.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information when required by law or necessary for security and fraud prevention.

Children's privacy

GrantWhisperer is designed for businesses, nonprofits, organizations, and adult applicants. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as GrantWhisperer develops or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the application or another appropriate channel.
